Snowboard Ornament

When the snow flies its time to hit the slopes. Snowboarding was invented by a father in the 1960s who fixed two skis together as a gift for his daughter, calling the invention a snurfer. The invention was quickly licensed and became incredibly popular.

Each figurative glass ornament is hand crafted in age-old tradition using the same techniques that originated in the 1800's. Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds, before a hot solution of liquid silver is poured inside. The ornaments are then hand-painted and glittered in a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve the beautiful creations.
